The inflammation associated with rosacea promotes additional vascular growth (see Role of Excess Blood Vessels), and this process builds on itself, with more blood vessel growth allowing for more inflammation, which only creates more blood vessel growth, etc. Many rosaceans have found that Laser and Light Therapy helps to eliminate some of the additional visible and non-visible blood vessels associated with rosacea and helps to roll back progression of the disease.
Some have also combined Laser and Light Therapy with a follow-up anti-flushing protocol to prevent new flushing and new blood vessel growth following treatment:
