Minocycline is a prescription antibiotic (see Antibiotics / Anti-Inflammatories) that has both antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is a member of the tetracycline family and has been used to help control rosacea symptoms. Problems with hyperpigmentation have been associated with its use, and although generally hyperpigmentation has been associated with its long-term use, it has been shown to occur with short-term usage as well.
