Many women have reported that their rosacea symptoms appear to follow hormonal fluctuations (see Hormonal Influence), and studies seem to indicate a link between hormonal fluctuations and the inflammatory responses. Hormonal fluctuations at menopause are particularly troubling for rosaceans as traditional hot flashes may trigger the more severe flushing and inflammation associated with rosacea.
