Metronidazole is derived from isolates originally found in common soil bacteria

Noritate is a prescription anti-inflammatory containing Metronidazole that when applied topically may be helpful in controlling inflammation (see Metronidazole Topicals). Many rosaceans find Noritate helpful in controlling their rosacea symptoms, although others have found it too irritating.
