Ocular Rosacea

Studies suggest that more than 50% of people with rosacea have ocular manifestations ranging from minor irritation to severe ocular symptoms. While ocular rosacea is most often associated with those who have facial rosacea symptoms, studies also suggest that up to 20% of people with ocular rosacea may not exhibit signs of facial rosacea.

Ocular manifestations may include the following symptoms (among others):

  • Dryness
  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Burning
  • Styes (chalazions)
  • Eyelid telangiectasias
  • Blepharitis
  • Meibomian gland dysfunction
